Memorial Day Weekend - 2008

So Paul has been anxious to take the kids upstate and we decided to go for the weekend. I'm not particularly fond of the woods - I'm more of a beach girl however, its not just about me anymore - so we went. The kids LOVED it and the property is on 53 acres of land so they had plenty of room to drive on their and their Daddy's 4 wheelers, Paul took the boys for a ride in the Hummer - and let them sit in the front seat. When I saw this I came over to yell of course and Paul just took off - the boys and Daddy thought this was hysterical and it now became a game. I didn't think it was funny. They also went in the golf carts and were being little mountain boys for the weekend. We had a bbq and Sean, Norma-Jean, Aunt Pat, Uncle Steven, Ozzy & Wanda came over. It really was a great weekend. We have to upgrade our 4 wheelers.

Carnival & Daddy Day!

The boys are at a great stage and I feel like I'm getting to one too. As they get older things (well some) get easier. Although their not talking as much as we would like (the speech is helping) life is great with them. Its was a beautiful Saturday and Ardsley was a throwing a carnival that we went to (pictures Here). As soon as the boys saw it they ran full force! they have absolutely no fear whatsoever of rides (its almost scary). The excitment in their faces and bodies just made me feel something I never felt! Again - I now understand this "Love like you never felt" explanation that all my friends have told me about.
Even though they didn't pass the height requirements on the rides Paul and I decided that they would be fine (some may say - this was very dumb) but together we decided it was okay. So they went on trains, Cars, boats and the rollar coaster - this one I have to admit I was doubting our decision to let them go on this one. But there they were hysterical and FULL of smiles. it was a super day.
Sunday - I had a shower and no babysitter. SO Paul did the day all by himself (reminder: twin 2 year olds) I'm really proud of him as he really took over with great pride and handeled the day great - he did get back up by Uncle Artie and Arturo and they went to the Palisades mall and hung out at Dave and Busters and ran around. I think Paul was proud of himself and I thought as soon as I got back he would say "here! take over" but he didn't he was more like - backup Jen its my day. They played more in the playroom and the boys were just like DADDY'S GREAT! I went to join them in the room and Paulie was just short of saying mommy get out! he basically shut the door in my face. So I continued to let them have their time. I think Paul was suprised at how well he handled himself too.

Happy Mother's Day!

I really had a nice relaxing mother's day - everyone is feeling better! and a the best gift ever! the boys are sharing latly. If I tell Anthony to give Paul something he does - and - likewise for Paulie. I love to see this and like I said that was one of my favorite gifts. It's strange - I'm still putting together stuff in my mind that my parents always told me about. Daddy and boys made me breakfast in bed and I got a morning break! my first in two whole years. Well sort of a break, but it was NICE!! and then a nice dinner with family
We stopped by Joey's (Paul's neighbors from S. Devoe) 9th B-day and the boys were given ballons from the party. Of course Anthony's ballon flew away and I'd say oh about 150,000 times Anthony was saying "oons in eeeyyee" and pointing to the sky. About two hours later we get home and went to play in the yard. Anthony again starts says "oons in eeeyyee" and pointing to the sky. We were just to the point of saying "yes Anthony, yes Anthony" he wouldn't stop. So Paul looks up laughs and says "Oh shit" - its the ballon!! and there is the same yellow ballon with 1/2 a string flying by. Now I felt horrible for yes-ing him. Lesson learned.
